Allen Grubesic (born 1974 in Uppsala, Sweden) is a contemporary artist working with video, electronic music, painting and sculpture. His art takes a playful look at the artificiality and stereotypes of consumer culture and contemporary lifestyles, combined with a wonderment towards modernist design. Grubesic graduated with an MFA from the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm in 2003, and has since exhibited across Europe.

Makode Bah Linde (born 1981 in Stockholm, Sweden) is currently finishing his studies at the University of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm. In his works, Bah Linde pursuits hilarious results whilst exploring the inconsistencies of political correctness in cultural discourse particularly where ethnicities and minorities are concerned.

Annika Ström ”Forever” ( Allen Grubesic and Makode Bah Linde Remix) - Vibrö 4 - (track 9)
Annika Ström is a Swedish artist born in 1964. She makes videos with sentimental soundtracks, which are sometimes also released as records. “Forever” was a part of the soundtrack for her videowork “Ten New Lovesongs”. In the reworking of “Forever” by Grubesic and Bah Linde, a piano loop is repeated and distorted until it is almost unrecognisable. The distortion creates a change not only in tone and rhythm but also in mood; moving from Ström’s charateristically romantic sentiment towards the weird and psychotic. Boil a rabbit, anyone?
